Robert J. Lee has defended hundreds of criminal matters and has taken cases, including DUI and drug crimes, to jury trial. Carlos Villalobos and Michael Tichenor are both former Assistant State Attorneys who know exactly how prosecutors build cases, and how to take them apart.
From the first call, we work to protect your rights, your record, and your freedom.
How we help
- Conduct a detailed case investigation to uncover exculpatory evidence
- Interview and depose witnesses
- Challenge unlawful stops, searches, and interrogations
- Negotiate with prosecutors for reduced or dismissed charges
- Formulate a defense strategy and try the case to a jury when that is the right path
Cases we handle
DUI and traffic offenses, drug crimes, theft and fraud, assault and battery, domestic violence, weapons charges, probation violations, juvenile matters, and federal charges.
Former prosecutors on your side
Two of our attorneys served as Assistant State Attorneys. That experience informs how we evaluate the State's evidence, anticipate its strategy, and negotiate from strength.
Frequently asked questions
Should I talk to the police?
Be polite, identify yourself, and say that you want a lawyer. You are not required to answer questions, and what you say can and will be used against you.
Can charges be dropped before trial?
Sometimes. Charges may be reduced or dismissed when evidence was obtained unlawfully, witnesses are unreliable, or the State cannot meet its burden. We pursue every avenue.
Will this stay on my record?
It depends on the outcome and the charge. Florida allows sealing or expungement in certain circumstances, and we advise on protecting your record from the start.
